Unix System Administrator (3 Month Contract) @MSB
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and planning of systems regarding the implementation of hardware and network solutions.
Installation*upgrade of the Operating system and related tools, to include network operating systems, switches routers etc.
Planning , allocation and setup of hardware.
Security of the Operating systems and maintenance of users * roles.
Implementation of departmental procedures for change control*operation.
Monitoring and planning for system storage, as well as monitoring and optimising system performance.
Coordination and liaison with all other IT staff * areas.
Planning of backup & recovery of the systems.
Coordination and liaison with all suppliers as part of support * projects.
Responsible for the production of technical documentation supporting activities * projects to agreed standards. Also, expected contribution to technical strategy, policy and procedures.
Successful candidate will:
Have 5 or more years experience in an IT environment 3 of which will have been working within a HP Unix Environment.
